Sophie was our first Weimaraner and our first show dog. She joined our family at the age of 4 months, when her original family was unable to keep her. Her breeder, Sarah Chvilicek, of Ghostwalker Weimaraners in Reno, NV, saw her potential and felt that a show home was a must. My father, Rob, wanted a weim and felt that this was something we would try. Sarah introduced us to Kathi Boyd, who became our handler for Sophie, as well as introducing us to the German Shorthaired Pointer. Sophie finished her championship at the Wine Country Kennel Club show on June 23, 2002 under esteemed judge, Dorothy Nickles. Sophie was a happy, silly, weimaraner who brought much joy and laughter to our lives. She left us way too early, departing in December 2004 after suffering from renal failure. She will always be in our hearts and is truly missed.
